DANCING WITH THE STARS IGNITES
LOCAL BALLROOM CRAZE
Tango draws special interest
This was the second year for ABC's hit show "Dancing with the Stars," and its popularity seemed to grow measurably. So, too, has Cleveland's interest in dancing, and particularly in tango.
Dr. Jeannette Potts, the Cleveland Clinic urologist also known as Dr. Tango, told WEWS-TV 5 that tango is an elegant, alternate form of athleticism, as she glided with strength and grace around the dance floor with various partners at Pesano's in Garfield Heights.
Every Thursday, Rick Ramos, president of the Western Reserve Argentine Tango Society, hosts a workshop and open tango dance at this location.
